The splendid Nature Reserve, which spreads over 20 hectares, enjoys one of the most beautiful views of the Lazio coast: to the Circeo and the Pontine Islands, and the outskirts of the cities of Anzio and Nettuno.
The cultivated vegetation (palms, oranges, domestic pine, oleander, pittosporo, box and many exotic species), accompanies species of the local flora.
Even the natural vegetation comes from the return of the park to nature, after it had been deforested and planted with species such as the pine nut pine and others.
Where nature has had time to take its course for a few years, there appear the typical species of coastal holm oak woods, with the holm oak (Quercus ilex), the Viburnum (Viburnum tinus), the green olive tree (Phillyrea latifolia), and the sasparilla (Smilax aspera), species which tend to fill the evergreen sclerophyll woods of the Mediterranean.
There are still residues of a typical Lazio coastal vegetation with the cork tree (Quercus suber), another evergreen species and, locally, in the coolest areas, we also find the laurel (Laurus nobilis). There have also been large examples seen of the downy oak (Quercus pubescens), the pedunculate or English oak (Quercus robur) and Hungarian or Italian oak (Quercus frainetto).
Among the fauna, we can note various species of migratory birds, such as assioli, as well as owls, pheasants, cardinals, black-caps, and blackbirds.
